Dream Pod 9 licenses usually work as multi-year agreements with advance on signing and guaranteed yearly payments thereafter.

Exclusive Television Rights

These cover either live action or animated series based on Jovian Chronicles, Gear Krieg, Tribe 8, or any upcoming Dream Pod 9 intellectual properties. Exclusive Television Rights are normally ten-year deals with an advance on signing and royalty payments per episode; additional advances are required for each new season or spin-off series. These rights are generally bundled with the Computer and Video Game Platform Rights, as well as the Merchandising Rights, for a complete brand package. The Television Rights can also be bundled with the Movie Rights for an extra advance.

Dream Pod 9 will assist with the series' bible, back story, artwork, designs and script editing. The licensee must begin work on the series within two years after signing.

Exclusive Movie Rights

These cover either live action or animated movies based on Jovian Chronicles, Gear Krieg, Tribe 8, or any upcoming Dream Pod 9 intellectual properties. Exclusive Movie Rights are normally ten-year deals with an advance on signing and royalty payments based on a percentage of the film's gross at the box office; additional advances will be required for sequels. These rights are bundled with the Computer and Video Game Platform Rights and the Merchandising Rights. They can also be bundled with the Television Rights for an extra advance.

Dream Pod 9 will assist with the movie bible, back story, artwork, designs and script editing. The licensee must begin production within two years after signing.

Non-Exclusive Merchandising Rights

These cover Toys, T-Shirts, Model Kits, etc. based on Jovian Chronicles, Gear Krieg, Tribe 8, or any upcoming Dream Pod 9 intellectual properties. Non-Exclusive Merchandising Rights are normally five-year deals with an advance on signing and royalty payments based on gross sales.

Dream Pod 9 is available to help out with artwork and designs. This type of deal is non-exclusive because most Television and Movie licenses require these rights as part of the contract. The licensee must produce the Merchandising items within two years after signing.

Non-Exclusive Computer or Video Game Platform Rights

These cover games based on Jovian Chronicles, Gear Krieg, Tribe 8, or any upcoming Dream Pod 9 intellectual properties. They are normally five-year deals with an advance on signing and royalty payments based on gross sales.

Dream Pod 9 is available to help out with the story, artwork, designs, game play and testing. The deal is non-exclusive because most Television and Movie licenses require these rights as part of the contract. The licensee must begin production of the computer game within two years after signing.

Exclusive Foreign Language Versions

These cover Dream Pod 9's pen&paper Roleplaying and Tactical Games. Exclusive Foreign Language Versions are normally five-year deals with an advance on signing and guaranteed yearly payments after that (the exact amounts will be determined by market size). The licensee must publish the rulebook within one year of signing and at least one book per year thereafter.

Dream Pod 9 will provide the licensee with a copy of each book to be published along with the layout and artwork files on CD-ROM (Pagemaker 6.5 files for Macintosh); one needs only translate the text and place it back in the layout. The licensee has the option to translate all the books in the line. Approvals are normally done by sending PDF files of the translated layout via the Internet. The Licensee must provide Dream Pod 9 with twelve (12) copies of each translated book.

Heavy Gear: French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Chinese, Japanese, Etc.

Jovian Chronicles: French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Chinese, Japanese, etc.

Gear Krieg: French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Chinese, Japanese, etc.

Tribe 8: French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Chinese, Japanese, etc.

Non-Exclusive English Language Supplements

These cover Dream Pod 9's pen&paper RPG and Tactical Games. Non-Exclusive English Language Supplements licenses are available for Heavy Gear, Jovian Chronicles, Gear Krieg, Tribe 8 and upcoming Dream Pod 9 intellectual properties. The supplement(s) cannot include the core game rules; any new rules created by the licensee require DP9's approval and thereafter become DP9's property. These are normally three-year deals with an advance on signing and royalty payments based on gross sales thereafter.

Dream Pod 9 will provide the licensee with a CD-ROM including all the game-specific logos and graphic elements, plus the basic layout grid (Pagemaker 6.5 files for Macintosh). Dream Pod 9's approval is required for the supplements' content (both text and artwork). Approvals are normally done by sending PDF files of the layout via the Internet. The Licensee must provides DP9 with twelve (12) copies of each book published.

Non-Exclusive Use of DP9's Silhouette RPG and Tactical Game System.

These cover the right to use Dream Pod 9's game rules in non-DP9 products. The licensed books can include the core game rules; any new rules created by the licensee require DP9's approval and thereafter become DP9's property. These are normally three-year deals with an advance on signing and royalty payments based on gross sales thereafter.

Dream Pod 9 provides the licensee with a copy of the rules and DP9 logo on CD-ROM. Approvals are normally done by sending PDF files of the layout via the Internet. The Licensee must provides DP9 with twelve (12) copies of each book published under this agreement.
