Freelance Writers

Many of our ideas are first shown to the world in the books we publish. We are always in need of good writers to put these ideas into words. Writers must be able to work under tight deadlines and must be prepared for constant rewriting requests. Though there is much room for creativity and inventiveness, they must be able to work within the framework laid down by the line editors.

If you'd like to try your hand at writing for us, you'll have to be familiar with our product lines and game system, and be able to turn a rough idea into a quality product on deadline. Deadlines are a critical part of the job -- we'd rather hear a "I can't do it" six months before the deadline than six hours before. There are often unforeseen mishaps in life that may delay a project, but we expect all our freelancers to plan for this well in advance.

We can't promise a contract to all those who submit proposals -- indeed, writing is one of those professions to which many are called, but few are chosen. Chances are that your proposal will be rejected, not because it is bad, but because it does not suit our current needs. We're willing to look at all proposals, however. Get the Submission Guidelines, and read them thoroughly. Then reread them again, just to make sure. Follow their instructions to make a proper proposal (only one project per proposal, please!). Make sure you put your name and contact information on everything you send us.
