Store Highlight:

Ground Zero Games, Edmonton, Alberta

Ground Zero Games in Edmonton, Alberta is a heavy supporter of DP9 products. The staff includes several Heavy Gear fans, and the store is a regular hang-out for the local Pod Corps chapter (Stuart Elle, who also took the pictures below). GZG carries all the DP9 game lines and offers several tables for in-store play, as well as numerous organized play events and tournaments. Check their Web site for a current listing!

These are pictures from the store and the construction of the ship.

This is the Dream Pod 9 wall. They are still building up the selection, but they will gladly order any product you want!	This is a close-up of the display.	This is the store's Heavy Gear selection.
This is part of the store's Heavy Gear forces. Notice the scratchbuild attack helicopter and the modified engineering Gears. The store modelers have used our 40mm round bases for their infantry squads, it seems.	GZG is currently assembling a scale Vortex-class landship, based on the schematics in The New Breed sourcebook. This is the finished conning tower.	This is the landship's main Gear hangar. It will be fully lighted and decorated (note the foil reflecting strips).
This is the forward section of the center hull. It's made of lightweight foam, which will receive a skin of styrene sheet to hold the details.	This is the rear section of the center hull. Though it can't be seen very well, this is where the loading ramp is.	This block of foam will serve as the core of one of the landship's massive hover-effect lifter units.
This is one of the top-side helipads, complete with a scratchbuilt Rock Beetle transport (see Tactical Air Support for game stats).	The landship will feature two (maybe more?) scratchbuilt Scorpions attack choppers (see Tactical Air Support for game stats).	Another view of the two attack helicopters. The forklift and Mammoth will be placed in the Gear hangar.
This is the forward main gun turret. The half-sphere at right is the forward laser turret.	One of the builders, Dirk, shows off the scale of the landship. Notice DP9 game logos in the store windows at the back...	Another view of the forward hull, this time without the decks and drive units.
This is the rear deck with the weapon turrets. The half-spheres are lasers.	These are the aircraft catapults at the front of the ship.	A view of the forward hull; the ship needs only a coat of paint on its landing strips.
The hangar doors are visible behind the deck elevators.	A scratchbuild Redjacket fighter bomber (Tactical Air Support) awaits order on the deck.	A scratchbuild Shadowfox Stealth Fighter (Vehicle Guide 1) is being serviced on the deck.
