CORE Command Art Preview

Welcome to the Art Preview section. This is where we show you some of the stuff that should end up in the final release of the game. There might be a few refinements along the way, but the art is getting really nice!

The art pieces on this page were done by Patrick Boutin-Gagné, an up-and-coming comic book artist from the Montréal area. Patrick has previously worked on other DP9 games such as Heavy Gear.

Alien Soldier

Remember that Draconis Alien that was shown in the concept art section? This is a more final look. You don't want to mess with these guys... Note the self-directing shoulder-mounted plasma gun and the plate armor.

Alien Soldier

You'll probably learn to really hate these little guys. They love firepower, and though somewhat weak physically, they make it up in numbers.

Alien Sage

An enigmatic figure from a centauroid race that has evolved on a low-gravity world.

Heavy Servobody™

This is a robot-like body that can be used by an artificial intelligence. Most often, though, its use is reserved for the unique warrior class known as Recorded Heroes™. The latter are Servobodies controlled by the thought patterns of long-dead heroes.

Sanrok™ Agent

This is a Sanrok™, one of the major alien races that populate the setting. No, it's not actually an animated crystalline structure, though the biochemistry is partially based on silicon; they just have a rough, elephant-like skin. He's wearing a Sanrok version of the basic CORE Agent uniform.

Combiweapon

Thanks to advanced material and powerpack technologies, multiple weapon systems can be fitted in a single package. This particular example fits a plasma gun, pulse cannon and a grenade/smart missile launcher in one, deadly package.

Conclusion

So that's about where we're at right now. The above should keep you guys busy for a while... Feel free to let us know your thoughts, but please, leave personal preferences aside -- we're looking for problems to fix, not complications to add! (wink)
