Golden Gear 2021 Miniature Painting Competition!
It’s time again for our annual Golden Gear Miniature Painting Competition, see all our 4 categories and prizes for each below. Get painting your Heavy Gear Blitz and Heavy Gear Arena Gears, Vehicles, and Combat Groups, take your entry photos and email them in by Midnight EST on October 31st, 2021.
The Categories:
- Best Heavy Gear Blitz Miniature (Single HGB/HGA Miniature: Gear, Strider, or Other Vehicle)
- Best Heavy Gear Blitz Combat Group (Combat Group of Four or more HGB/HGA Miniatures)
- Best Duelist Miniature (Single HGB/HGA Miniature: Equipped with Duelist Weapons)
- Pimp My Gear (Single HGB/HGA Miniature: Gear, Strider, or Other Vehicle – All Pimped Out with a Flashy Paint Scheme, Custom & Scratch Builds are encouraged for this category. Note: You don’t need to make an actual Pimp as some did in our first Pimp My Gear Contest.)
Prizes for each Category Winner:
- Best Heavy Gear Blitz Miniature Winner receives a Golden Gear 2021 Trophy plus $100 USD DP9 Online Store Points Credit.
- Best combat group winner receives a Golden Gear 2021 Trophy plus $200 USD DP9 Online Store Points Credit.
- Best duelist winner receives a Golden Gear 2021 Trophy plus $100 USD DP9 Online Store Points Credit.
- Pimp my gear winner receives a Golden Gear 2021 Trophy plus $100 USD DP9 Online Store Points Credit.
This years Golden Gear Trophy is a Nemesis Jaguar painted gold and mounted on an oak base with plaque, see photo in the graphic below.
The Rules:
- MINIATURES: All Heavy Gear Blitz & Heavy Gear Arena minis can be entered into the Golden Gear Painting Contest. Conversions and decals are allowed and encouraged. Custom bases and plinths are allowed, hex bases are not required. Pimp My Gear entries can be custom builds but should include some recognizable HGB/HGA parts.
- Entry Deadline is Midnight EST on October 31st, 2021.
Submissions: Email up to five photos per entry to rdubois@dp9.com, please include your full name. By submitting your photos you grant Dream Pod 9 Inc. the right to publish the submitted photos. Entrants may submit entries to multiple categories, however, every submission must be unique. Current Dream Pod 9 employees are excluded from the competition.
Judging will be done by the Dream Pod 9 Montreal Staff (Robert Dubois, Philippe F. LeClerc, and Alain Gadbois) in early November and Winners Announced.
