Tribe 8 – Tribes in the Dark Kickstarter is now Live!
The Dream Pod 9 team is happy to announce that the Tribes in the Dark Kickstarter was just launched at Noon EST on Tuesday August 19th, 2025. If your a fan of the Tribe 8 universe please help us out and support the Kickstarter to bring Tribe 8 back to life.
The Kickstarter has an initial funding goal of $7,000.00 CAD and will run until 10 pm EST on Sunday, September 14th, 2025. A basic pledge of $30 CAD (about $21 USD) will get you the planned 330 page Ebook, with expected delivery of December 2025. We also have Print-On-Demand pledge for just $20 CAD more that will give you the option to purchase a POD softcover or hardcover book from DriveThruRPG at a special price, plus shipping, expected delivery in February 2026.
We reached the initial funding goal on Wednesday morning, just 22 hours into the Kickstarter Campaign. The Dream Pod 9 staff wishes to thank all our Backers and Joshua has a message for you all in the graphic below, enjoy!
After reaching our initial funding we announced the first 5 Stretch Goals, listed below.
– Stretch Goal – 01 ($9,000.00 CAD Pledged) – Add more new artwork to the book.
– Stretch Goal – 02 ($11,000.00 CAD Pledged) – Add more new artwork to the book.
– Stretch Goal – 03 ($13,000.00 CAD Pledged) – Make the Maps of Tribes in the Dark available as larger sized pdfs, to be included with the ebook downloads and also add more new artwork to the book.
– Stretch Goal – 04 ($15,000.00 CAD Pledged) – Make a Tribes in the Dark Companion pdf with materia, we didn’t have space to fit in the book, to be included with the ebook downloads.
– Stretch Goal – 05 ($17,000.00 CAD Pledged) – Add more new artwork to the Companion pdf.
– Stretch Goal – 01 ($9,000.00 CAD Pledged) – Add more new artwork to the book.

And on Sunday afternoon we unlocked our second stretch goal at $11,000.00 CAD Pledged to add even more new artwork of the Tribes of Vimary to the book.
On Saturday evening (August 30th, 2025) we unlocked our third stretch goal at $13,000.00 CAD Pledged to make the Maps of Tribes in the Dark available as larger sized pdfs, to be included with the ebook downloads and also add more new artwork to the book.

On Sunday evening (September 7th, 2025) we unlocked our fourth stretch goal at $15,000.00 CAD Pledged to make a Tribes in the Dark Companion pdf with material we didn’t have space to fit in the book, to be included with the ebook downloads. Now with just under 7 Days left in the Kickstarter Campaign its on to Stretch Goal 05, which will unlock at $17,000.00 CAD pledged to add more new artwork to the Tribes in the Dark Companion pdf.
